Cantu Natural Range

It took me a while to get through this bundle of products I was gifted but I finally got through them!       However, I am no stranger to Cantu products. When I first went natural, at the time there were hardly any products available for natural hair, Cantu came to the rescue for my twist outs. Since then alot of us were looking for more products that would work more with our textures and are moisturising. The Cantu brand did just this and re-branded by offering an exclusive natural range.

The products I was gifted with were:

  • Sulfhate Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo – Sulfate-free formula rich lather gently cleanses and moisturizes helping to reduce breakage during shampooing. Made with pure shea butter and formulated without harsh ingredients.
  • Sulfhate Free hydrating conditioner – Unique sulfate-free formula moisturises dry, brittle hair and prevents split ends and breakage for healthier, hydrated hair. Made with pure shea butter and formulated without harsh ingredients.
  • Moisturising curl activator – Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream activates curls, delivers volume and adds shine, producing frizz free, smooth, bouncy curls.
  • Define and shine custard – Formulated to infuse curls with moisture for superb definition and brilliant shine. Also reduces hair bulk, elongates curls, and provides enough hold for great second and third day styling.
  • Coconut shine and mist – Cantu Coconut Milk Shine & Hold Mist provides lasting moisture and shine while it rehydrates and refreshes curls.
  • Coil Calm detangler – Softens and conditions hair for easy, tangle-free styling. Made with pure shea butter and formulated without harsh ingredients.

The shampoo and conditioner were my favourite as they lived up to their description as being moisturising, even during the shampoo stage my hair felt moisturise. Eventhough the shampoo is sulfate-free it still has a rich lather, it gently cleanses and moisturises. It states it is made with shea butter and formulated without harsh ingredients.

I am still to get through the curling custard and the curl activator but I generally don’t use gel like products on my hair. Needless to say when I go on holiday where there is more humidity and it’s hot, my hair tends to shun products with lots of water like creams, so gel like products works best for me and that’s when these products comes in handy.

I mostly use the coil calm detangler when I neglect my hair during the week and I really need something to take the knots out or when I do a wash and go (I tend not to do wash and gos very often), that’s when I reach for the detangler which works just as good as my coconut oil :)
